Fright Night

On the way up the stairs tonight I came across this motley crew on their way to picking up their friend (skull boy). I think there will be strange goings on in the block tonight!

Feeling Blue

I saw this single mattress on my floor as I went out to work this morning. I looked down the stairs and caught sight of an abandoned baby car seat, but by the time I got down to the bottom I could see the cleaner carrying it away - drat!

Cardboard City

This was on the stairwell all weekend..

Double Trouble

It's been quiet on the stairs this week, I got quite excited when I saw 2p in a corner but not as excited when I saw a tiny screw! Then I imagined how horrified my daughters would be if I started logging bits and pieces from peoples pockets, so I stilled my hand and left my camera unused in my bag. (I keep passing that screw though!). Good to see that others continue with qwerky behaviour, I thought that our resident professional door opener had left the block, but no! They are back in business as we can see from  the water filled thingymajig above.

Table Take off Time!

This abandoned computer table looks as if it's about to take off! What an angle! I think that there will be more computer tables left at the wayside with the advent of i-pads, laptops and micro computers (I might have invented that last one!), time will tell.

Wherever I Lay My hat.......

This morning I took the rubbish out and sadly I saw a homeless man on our floor sleeping next to the radiator by the lift. Boy, I'm used to seeing homeless people all the time, living near Victoria Station we see many people who are in this predicament, but when there is literally someone on your door step you cannot ignore them completely, he looked the age of our eldest daughter. On the way back up he was still there snuggled under his coat with his trainers neatly placed next to him. I didn't know what to do, so when I left to go out to work I made him a cup of tea and left him a little change. Maybe I should have done more, on the tube I remembered a homeless shelter near the Cathedral that could have helped out. It's sad that in London you are afraid to say or do anything to help because you don't want to put yourself in danger. I was a total coward today.

Out Of Order

Oh dear, the lift is still out of order...............

What A Load Of Rubbish!

It's a double-bagger!

Nothing too exciting to report, one of the lifts is out of action though ( we have two passenger lifts that can fit about four people in, and a goods lift with doors that you have to drag across). The goods lift often breaks down and typically when you need to move something heavy or are expecting a big delivery you find that someone has left the doors open meaning you have to go from floor to floor until you've found it - gah!!! Sorry about the whinge fest!!

Rubbish Refuge

Things must be getting a bit dodgy in our block if the rubbish has to take cover! Maybe I'm over reacting but it looks like someone is trying to protect their rubbish with that carefully placed piece of wood.

Meet You On The Window Sill

It was quiet on the stairs this weekend,  Saturday's can of lychee drink was joined by some Macky D packaging on Sunday, it's turning into a bit of a fast food festival on the stairs!

99p Soul Club

On the way back from the YSP and from the 99p Soul Club, I spied one rubicon lychee flavoured drink can and some kinda cocoa cola packaging in the up coming olympics styleee....

Yesterday....

Took the recycling out, but nothing on the stairs this Friday.

Direct To You

Someone got creative with these telephone directories, they weren't on the stairs but by the lift on our floor. Thought I'd include this photo as there was nothing on the stairs this morning......

On The Way to The Library

Well, I thought I was going to have to resort to a 'What's on the Stairs?' fact because there has been nothing on the stairs since Tuesday! But no, I went out to the library this afternoon and on the way down something caught my eye on the stairs, a sweetie wrapper I thought on first glimpse, but I back tracked and discovered a fancy watch! (It had disappeared by my return journey, to its owner I hope). Also spotted the base of a sofa bed, the main part being left in the goods lift. On the way back up from the library (Didn't see any DVD's I wanted to borrow, might have to watch X Factor), I spied a red pile of fabric in a corner, turns out to be a coat. Once again apologies for the poor quality photo's, I'm thinking of getting an I Phone, the camera on one of those can't possibly be worse than the one I have!

Tuesday.........

Mmmmmmm, well I don't know what's going on here either, some kind of see-through packaging event!

Monday Morning Work-Out!

By this morning part of the bed/workstation combo had gone for a burton, leaving behind a little bit of bedframe and a little bit of workstation.....

To start the week off I had to negotiate the mattress which over night had keeled over! Under or over? I decided to hoik it up, and went under - my high jump days are over!

And..... more rubbish - I can't believe that one of neighbours has used one of our brand new recently distributed 'recycle -bags' as a rubbish bag (nice try Westminster council, your efforts were wasted on this resident!) They obviously had better things in mind - check out the panini making machine....

Sunday Night Special

Last night, I went out to get provisions ( milk and crisps) on the way down, I saw this snazzy black number consisting of a bed frame and possibly a computer desk? Behind which lurked a sofa and part of a shower unit I think......
