All Washed Up

Oh no! Someone's washing machine has been chucked out, and it doesn't look that old either (they don't make them like they used to). They must have bought a washer dryer replacement, because they've thrown out their smalls drier too.....

Zimmer Me Timbers!

On the way home tonight on our floor we saw this unlikely couple - Miss Zimmer and Mr Frigidaire - I'm sure there must be someone out there we know who could use this as we approach our golden years...........

Back Off!

The other night  I was too tired to attempt the stairs, even so when I came out of the lift I had a quick peep through the fire doors and saw this washing machine on the landing. Ah yes, it was on Monday because I thought 'They couldn't have had a good wash day (Monday)'.

Wherever I Lay My hat.......

This morning I took the rubbish out and sadly I saw a homeless man on our floor sleeping next to the radiator by the lift. Boy, I'm used to seeing homeless people all the time, living near Victoria Station we see many people who are in this predicament, but when there is literally someone on your door step you cannot ignore them completely, he looked the age of our eldest daughter. On the way back up he was still there snuggled under his coat with his trainers neatly placed next to him. I didn't know what to do, so when I left to go out to work I made him a cup of tea and left him a little change. Maybe I should have done more, on the tube I remembered a homeless shelter near the Cathedral that could have helped out. It's sad that in London you are afraid to say or do anything to help because you don't want to put yourself in danger. I was a total coward today.

All Clued Up

Using the detective skills that I have acquired over the years ( Thanks to  Monk, Columbo, Poirot, Kojak, Starsky & Hutch, Sherlock Holmes, Charlie's Angels,  Perry Mason, Ironsides, McCloud, Quincy, Hill Street Blues, Z Cars, Dixon of Dock Green and Mrs Marple to name a few! )..... I deduct that this piece of plastic spotted on the fifth floor landing belongs to one of the washer-dryers put out last night (see post below).

Wish-Washy

Last night someone dumped their washing machine and dryer out, right in front of the steps that go down to the back door. I saw the cleaning staff battling with them this morning, they never seem angry or annoyed, I suppose they've seen it all in our block!
