Hello, I live up on the seventh floor in an 8 storey block of flats in central London. I usually walk down the stairs on the way out to work and often see various objects left by the residents in the communal stairwell, I thought you might like to have a look........

Wherever I Lay My hat.......
This morning I took the rubbish out and sadly I saw a homeless man on our floor sleeping next to the radiator by the lift. Boy, I'm used to seeing homeless people all the time, living near Victoria Station we see many people who are in this predicament, but when there is literally someone on your door step you cannot ignore them completely, he looked the age of our eldest daughter. On the way back up he was still there snuggled under his coat with his trainers neatly placed next to him. I didn't know what to do, so when I left to go out to work I made him a cup of tea and left him a little change. Maybe I should have done more, on the tube I remembered a homeless shelter near the Cathedral that could have helped out. It's sad that in London you are afraid to say or do anything to help because you don't want to put yourself in danger. I was a total coward today.

What A Load Of Rubbish!
It's a double-bagger!
Nothing too exciting to report, one of the lifts is out of action though ( we have two passenger lifts that can fit about four people in, and a goods lift with doors that you have to drag across). The goods lift often breaks down and typically when you need to move something heavy or are expecting a big delivery you find that someone has left the doors open meaning you have to go from floor to floor until you've found it - gah!!! Sorry about the whinge fest!!

Rubbish Refuge
Things must be getting a bit dodgy in our block if the rubbish has to take cover! Maybe I'm over reacting but it looks like someone is trying to protect their rubbish with that carefully placed piece of wood.
Meet You On The Window Sill
It was quiet on the stairs this weekend, Saturday's can of lychee drink was joined by some Macky D packaging on Sunday, it's turning into a bit of a fast food festival on the stairs!
