Hello, I live up on the seventh floor in an 8 storey block of flats in central London. I usually walk down the stairs on the way out to work and often see various objects left by the residents in the communal stairwell, I thought you might like to have a look........

First Week of 2012
As the week continues we are confronted with the usual suspects, including possibly the packaging from someones Christmas present? And the remains of a chicken dinner. Drinks are always popular on the stairs, this week being no exception, interestingly you can transform the names of our drinks - vimto becomes vomit and if you read starbucks back to front it becomes skub rats, ha ha!
This week we had another homeless person on our floor. Hubby and I left early for work one morning and there along the corridor lay a woman, she called out and asked if we had a phone as she needed an ambulance, she said she'd been on the stairs when someone pushed passed her, causing her to fall down a flight of stairs and had hurt her back, wrists and side. Hubby called and stayed with 'Wendy' while i went outside to let the ambulance crew in (our intercom system is not working properly!).
While I was waiting outside various people went in and out of the block, including a neighbour from our floor who was of the opinion that we were wasting our time as 'she' has been on our floor in the mornings for a couple of weeks and was 'messing us around'. I was very disappointed with this persons lack of concern for another human being, whether she was hurt badly or not, she was in need and asked for help, so we did what we could. Eventually two policemen came along (our block is next door a very big police station) I let them in with my magic fob, then another two policemen came along all going up to see our lady on the seventh floor. Then down came hubby, the police had questioned him and sent him on his way......He found out that she lived in a house in Sheerness in Sheppey, didn't have any family and was trying to get back home. I have seen this woman around our area for years, I hope she's ok.
